(2 fans) George HarrisonMBE (25 February 1943 – 29 November 2001) was an English musician, singer and songwriter who achieved international fame as the lead guitarist of the Beatles. Often referred to as the 'quiet Beatle', Harrison over time became an admirer of Indian culture and mysticism, introducing it to the other Beatles, as well as to their Western audience. Following the band's break-up, enjoyed a successful solo career, and in 1988 he co-founded the supergroup the Traveling Wilburys, with Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne and Roy Orbison. Rolling Stone magazine ranked Harrison number 11 in their list of the '100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time'.
A fine and soothing song by George Harrisonr.i.p in the passion of searching and believing as a devoted spiritual seeker with the hope not only to know The Lord in prayer and in intellectual thought, but he believed it was possible to really see him by a vegetarian ecstatic experience chanting of the Hare Krishna Mantra belief to help him purify his soul from the rebirth in a sin. I think George Harrisonr.i.p wasn't afraid to get closer and a little dirty to bridge the religious gap during the wild flower power days with the Hare Krishnas, being still in the mindset of the early Christians in the Bible that were more open minded about karma and the transmigration of the soul, not to participate in the animal sacrifices for food to offer The Lord and themselves that they should kill for, in order to become closer to Him towards the road 'Back To Godhead' if you're a Christian or not.
This song can confuse our understanding to assimilate in the Lord, but it also gives you a choice on your spiritual quest to be more humble if you're looking for The Lord to save you, you may not see Him saveing you, but you may become a born again Christian and realize that JESUS is the only one that truly has the power to save your soul 'cause He died for our sins to save our souls so They may truly see Him for who He is one day. Why does George Harrison deceive people? I wish he was still alive and asked him questions. Why does he change Halleluiah to Hare Krishna and thinks it is the same?
I wish I had a dream of him. What should I do? I danced naked alone once to Chants of India and feel bad about that now. I also thought I saw a reflection in a store window once. What did it all mean? I think he is sending mixed messages.
I am trying to figure out why he wants to confuse people. I wish I knew Paul personally and asked him.
